California girls
Weekends are my happy days! indeed, this weekend was sooo nice - perfect weather, sun catching, vintage-charity market attending, hanging out with friends and discovering new, nice places and of course get some new snapshots ^_^ so this time I hit the streets with Sara to do some lil' shopping and get some lunch.
we went to this lovely place called California Bakery, here in Milan. MUST try this when you are in the city! they have this charming atmosphere and really nice interior - place where food is made with love and served together with a cup of Café Americano (the American style coffee). they have cupcakes (to see the cupcakes, check out my Instagram) and amazing bagels, great soup and delicious cakes and, and top of that nice staff. :)
so here are some pictures from California bakery at Via Larga( outside terrace) and streets of Milan.
It was a perfect day to put on my new, vintage flower shorts from Beyond Retro, Stockholm. I already wrote about this adorable vintage clothing store, so can check out the entry and tips here.

Inspiration du jour!
Inspiration is something I need more than air to start, to continue or to finish something! however, if I am inspired I will start and finish without stopping/pausing/napping till I will be done and satisfied with my result - whatever it will be! and to help to get best of me I sometimes need some inspiration! and pictures helps a lot! so here is some of my today's inspirations! hope it will inspire or just will make you dream/smile/ visualize and enjoy as well!
Yes, lately I dream of becoming a pirate! D: or at least have a pirate boat! hehehe don't know! it sounds like a fun idea! if not for being a part of Caribbean pirate team with Jack Sparrow than at least to make themed party! :) guess this obsession is mostly because of my friend's last year birthday party where we had a picture with a Captain Morgan :)
love this picture with my blondes :) xx
As my motto goes: Smile! because there is NO reason not to! |
the sunny weather makes me dream of Summer and all the nice things envolved |
mmmmm j'adore! ^_^ |
DO it! they inspire more to achieve more! |
indeed! |
Lately I have been pretty obsessed with gym and running to get ready for the bikini season, so this kind of things helps me keep going and motivates me to keep on struggling for better results! and the times when I feel it's getting too hard or I want to give up, or just be lazy I remind myself, WHY I started this at first place! Don't give up!
DONLOAD IT and fill it out! |
Avalon in the Northern Beaches/Pittwater area of Sydney |
Stunning place I would love to visit one day myself. check out the description here! can't wait to have my vacations at the sea! whatever sea/ocean as long as it is water!
Pirates! |

Next adventure - Paradise Falls - Monte Roraima
YES! it really exists! the Paradise Falls from the Movie Up are for real! I received this confirmation this morning and since then, I am soooo thrilled! so it means just one thing! let's start to save up for a new adventure
to go back to South America, this time Brasil+Venezuela border where you can find the Roraima mountain! and it seems as enchanted and breath taking as in the movie.
doesn't it look great?
So the only thing left to do is to start planning the route, make some maps, save some money and get some premium company to share this adventure with me! :)
I already have some experience in conquering Brazil and it's mountains in Chapada Diamantina.. check it out here :) so this could be like an ultimate challenge!
CAN'T WAIT! really excited!

Sunday is a perfect day for a picnic
Indeed! what can be a better day to have a picnic if not on Sunday?
so when the sun is shining and the first spring thunders have passed by it's time to pack and head out of the city to enjoy the nature and "open the season" of picnic, barbeque and great outdoors.
So the idea of the week is to make a picnic somewhere new, somewhere green, somewhere nice and somewhere where are poppy field! I have always wanted to take some typical, running-in-a-poppy-field picture and this year -- I will!
so pack your bags! we are going for an adventure! feel free to come along! :)
and here is some Checklist what to take when going for a picnic (healthy one):
1) Food (prepare sandwiches already at home in those pretty triangles) take also food that doesn't make your hands super-dirty and sticky and/or easy to clean with 2) wet wipes; and all other food depends on you. I always make some sandwiches, vegetables, and fruits. (prosciutto and melon is an amazing combination).
try to leave out all the dairy products that can go bad if you won't them eat soon after taking out of fridge, like yogurts or ice cream, although vine could be included in this list if planning a romantic getaway.
Here are some good foods you should think of including in your picnic basket as well as your diet and everyday life!
(YES! there is a dark chocolate, but the good kind, organic, not commercial and NOT in huge quantities!) for some other healthy lifestyle and cooking suggestions check out the Health Castle homepage here.
3) cutlery and melamine (re-usable ones to preserve the environment) and cutting board or hard surface as well as containers for leftovers
4) army knife (always comes in handy)
5) water (or other low or no sugar drinks, so don't get thirsty fast)
6) blanket( preferably dark one)
7) sun protection( if there is strong sun) : sunglasses, cream, hat (a nice straw hat will always be a great addition)
8) anti mosquito spray (insect repellent) and cream (after they have bit you.. yes, that happens)
9) tissues and/or napkins
10) playing cards/games/ badminton/ Frisbee/ball/kite, etc. *
11) musical instrument (if you have one and know how to use one :) *
12) CAMERA! it's a must! to make some new memories
13) trash bags
* 10 and 11 are just recommendations
and the checklist for park-green space for picnic. for a beach or mountains the picnic list should be slightly different. but about that some other time. Enjoy your picnic!
P.S. and let me know if I missed out something and should add to the list!

A' coat - your next raincoat
While on my way back to Milan I managed to pass through Latvia where I participated in a fair of Fashion and Textile 2013 and get my own free participant pass by a lovely company called A'coat which has a colourful range of raincoats and all Made in Latvia!
This company has been created by two young and fun friends and it all started out just as a fun experiment that turned into a business. (more about them as well about the raincoats you can find in their FB fan page here or in their homepage by clicking here.)
Even though I were there just for 1h, I managed to try some of the raincoats on. :)
(unfortunately the lights there were not the brightest ones, so pictures came out not so good, but see for yourself).
so which one will be your next, best friend singing(dancing) in the rain? :)
p.s. one cool thing I forgot to mentioned about them, you can turn the raincoat into a bag, when it is not raining and carry it around and what's even cooler - it doesn't leave creases!
