Hair-do du jour

Today i felt like getting my hair all up,and mqking a braid,so i combined this 2things in 1.and voilà,i have a romantic and chic hair-do:)
As didn't want to look like Tymoshenko,than finished my hairdo with fishtail braid :)
So this is the result :)

We all know that Valentine's day is for the lovers and couples and (let's be honest) a commercial celabration.

Fat Tuesday - Martedì Grasso Nail art

as today is a Martedì Grasso or Fat Tuesday so it means just one thing - this weekend is Carnival in Milan! :)
to get in the mood today I have taken with me to work my Black mask and turned my finger-nails in blue and yellow pieces of art! :)

C'mon Barbie let's go party!

Last Saturday I went to my friends birthday which required a dressing up as a famous character or a Star Wars representative. As I didn't want to look like a Princess Leia or a Chube :D than decided to become a Barbie :) heheh (the easiest thing to be, as you can wear whatever :D )I decided to be PINK, traditional one).
So I wore one of my creations - a pink dress with a tulle I made few years ago when had one of those inspiring-creation moments! :)

the coolest thing was that actually everyone was obeying the dressing-up rule so the party was even more colourful and fun. the hosts had thought about some games as well to entertain and spice up the party; we had a task for groups to find out the mysterious murderer who spoiled the wedding of the century between Cesar and Jessica Rabbit :) the groups had to find the clues and solve the mystery and perform- interpret the answer by making a musical (so actually had to sing) :D

was really fun and seemed that everyone enjoyed themselves solving this little mystery as additional, regular home party :) recommended to try also at your next home party, takes a little bit of time and planning the plot and the clues, but the satisfaction by your guests is guaranteed! :) moreover it is a great ice-breaker if in your party is attending a lot of people who don't know each other and coming from different places.

DIY: Crochet; polka-dot gloves

when I was sick few weeks ago and were forced to stay home and bed, I decided that despite the fact I cannot go anywhere nor work with pc, to make my regular,long winter gloves refresh with some colours.
as I had a red hat and also a scottish-red scarf, than decided to brighten them with red polkadots.
so all I did was, I took a crochet hook and a read yearn and made small  bumps - enough to decorate all gloves.
actually it is real easy - just make a chain stitch  of 5 or 6 chains (depending how big dot you want) than tie together first loop and last ad voilà! you have your polka dot! than cut the tread and star a new one! and make as many you want! than just ad to your gloves using the crochet hook, turn inside out of the glove and tie them together and here you go!  you have more lively and colourful gloves! :) no picture tutorial this time, but here is the result! :)

p.s. I really like crochet and basically you can create everything with this technique. so as long as you have imagination or Google :) you can create something truly greator give some old thing a new looks!

as I received a garden dwarf, now I will never be alone in pictures (like Amélie) to travel around the world

the happiness with a surprise cake from the restaurant's staff! it was one of those movie moments and really made my birthday awesome and memorable!

 

It's time to get a pair of glasses

and here  I am - one year older and (hopefully) wiser! :) however, the age is not coming alone - turns out (after the workplace doctor's visit) that my eyesight has weaken and that it is time for me to get glasses! :O

so there is a plan of the month - to get some pair that doesn't make me look like a naughty secretary but adds me some wisdom! :) heheh

so let's the hunting being and hopefully will soon find something lovely and intelligent! :)
