Paris mon amour... I fell in love with Paris long before I went there for my first time many, many years ago and I never get tired coming back there as every time is something new to discover, see, try and feel.
Having a tour at Montematre is a must twice - early morning and after the dark falls, as the place completely changes. Seeing all the red-lights and Moulin Rouge enlightened is something spectacular.
and than off to dinner in a typical, charming and soooooooo delicious typical restaurant called Bistrot Victoires near Royal Palace (also must see).
It's enchanting by night and full of surprises by day and definitely it is not only the city only for lovers, romance and haute cuture with an expensive shopping but also city with art, culture and adventures and you will never get bored there - trust me!
couple of weeks ago I organized a Paris getaway for my bf birthday. as he had never been there than tried to make as compact list of "must do, see and try things" list for him to make to make best out of this trip.
and as I already had done all this than decided that maybe someone else could take an advantage and spare some hours googling things to see and do while there.
as for me Montrematre is the "real Paris" where you can have not only typical croissant or pain au chocolat and coffee for breakfast in a small street- side caffee but also have some pretty fun nightlife this is why i strategically chose staying near the Central Station (Gare du Est) so can stroll for breakfast there and have a real Parisian start of the day.

Must stop is a at wall je t'aime (i love you wall - click here) where is written in many languages this phrase. (I even found in Latvian!
le mur des je t'aime - i love you wall, Paris |
actually this was also my first time there, so even more exciting this experience.
Another thing to try there apart checking out Sacré Coeur Cathedral (click here) at early morning while there is not hundreds of tourists is to try some of the little pastry stores - like macarons is a must try while in Paris. so apart typical Ladurée tea salon visits you can also try some hand made pastries at some Biscuterie.
... I sure did..
and also had some nice hand-made jewelry shopping in some small artist shops to bring back as a souvenir and memory to myself :)

with a star I marked all things I visited during my stay. so i chose strategical each day here to go and here metro was really handy, as Paris is huge and places to visit are a lot and not really close each to other one, so my best tip is to divide by districts, like i did.
Check out Wanderlust as it is something really cool - restaurant/ atelier/ cinema/ event space to spend some lazy day near Seine river or some night away with a nice concert or enjoy i with your kids - something really unique.
Another cool place to visit is Djoon for a night out for concert or dinner or drinks.
Another thing you should visit, if you are or was excited about Barbie is her ehibition in Doll Museum which will be open all summer till 13th of September.
Musée de la pouppée - Barbie Retro Chic.

had the best dinner ever and the meet there is just superb and the crem brule just divine and my caffee gourmet was just perfect.
and here is some more "starred" places from my trip.
another thing you must try while in Paris is a Crepes. and of course the best place to do it is in a typical creperie.. I chose Creperie Josselin at Montparnasse (after seeing the city from the top floor of the skyscraper) which serves typical crepes and the menu offers plenty of choices for all tastes and preferences.
and to finish up this short review - enjoy the view right after sunset to Eiffel tower..
and to finish up - here is a nice tourist guide by Tripomatic also printable maps you can carry with you with the most important information.
Bon Voyage
