Workout: tips getting back in shape after summer holidays

It is already end of summer and it means just one thing - the summer holidays are over and it is time to get back to everyday routines and it is time to get back on a new workout and  fitness schedule, with new goals, aims and challenges!
After a long vacation in South of Italy I will have to catch up with quite a lot of things, especially at fitness and healthy lifestyle level. (I have been working on a new, exciting project and soon will be ready to reviled also to the world - so stay tuned! )
I can bet I am not the only one to get back on track so here are some tips to get out of that post-vacation depression and get back in shape.

*Set a reachable goal
The best thing that motivates is setting a clear and obtainable goal. Like loosing 2kg (gained in summer vacations) till winter holiday. (One of my goals too - get in shape for next holiday! so can do that together! )
It can also be a goal to get able to run 5km marathon and participate in The Color Run (the worlds funnest and colorful 5km ). I am going to participate on 6th of September here in Milan! who is in with me?
It also can be a detox or teatox cure to loose weight, clear skin and boost immune system.
and so on and on, it can be several, important that they are attainable and realistic.
Whatever you choose stick to the plan, track your progress and make a deadline, therefore you will be more motivated and inspired by your own results to keep going.

Recipe: Infused water - watermelon+mint+lemon

Day 3: I finished cucumbers so substituted it with watermelon. Must say it is really refreshing and nice, and slightly sweeter as watermelon has slightly more sugar - but the effect is still the same.
try it!

Recipe/Experiment: Infused water - lemon, cucumber and mint

This week I have started a new challenge which should help me to get ready for the beach in 3 weeks.
I have heard and tried several infused water recipes and teas already (check my previous blog post about Water benefits here) , but this week I want to try 10 day detox water cure to be pure inside and out.

Yesterday started Infused Water experiment and gulping down 2l of Lemon, Cucumber and Mint water per day. (For those who are not used to drink so much water it might sound a lot, but actually it isn't that hard at all as long as you divide it as following: 1 l till 14:00 and other half till bedtime, plus if you drink it from a glass it becomes a lot easier as seems a lot of smaller amounts)!

Water vs. Coke

I saw this article on my friends FB page and decided that this asks for sharing and will be a nice addition to my previous entry about "water" what water actually does to you!
However this time will be about Coke (yes, that's right! ) and Water. turns out Coke is really useful as well..but NOT in the diet and nutrition kind a way..
check it out! i already bought my bottle and can't wait to start trying out these tips! :)

here we go!

(check out this homepage for more water facts:)

 WATER
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 30%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

And now for the properties of COKE

 1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the “real thing” sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

IMPORTANT INFO

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

At the animal shelter,it is used coke to remove calcium deposits from the water pans about ever 6 months.

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?

water is what makes me happy
Actually all forms of water makes me happy- shower, lake, beach, rain, ocean or even swimming pool!
Drink your water! at least 2l per day
Yes to water! stay hydrated! giving enough water increases your imune system, makes your skin look better, cleans your organism, gives you energy and fills you up when start having a food-craving-attacks right before lunch (Always happens to me! ) so good idea is than to drink a warm water with a lemon to understand weather you are really hungry or just thirsty (or bored. mostly we eat when we are bored).

some insparational water ideas

why not spice up and color your water with some fruits and Leaves? I Always do that! especially in summer! tastes soo nice! and it will kill your craving for some bubbly, sugary drink that would give you those extra calories you really don't want nor need!
