Recipe: Oat flake cookies

Other day I remembered my childhood recipe - Oat flake cookies and I decided it is time to make them once more. the best thing of this recipe is that there is no flour and it is really easy and fast to make. check this out:
you will need:
  • 3 glasses of oat flakes (I use the big flakes) - it is approx. 500gr
  • 3 eggs
  • 250gr butter
  • 200 gr sugar (if want less sweet use just 100gr)
  • 1 d.spoon of vanilla powder or few drops of the concentrate for smell
  • a peel of lemon (can do without too, but makes additional flavor
  • (100gr raisins or almonds (whatever you prefer or nothing)
Preparation:
1. melt half of the butter (125gr) on the frying pan (better big one)and once that done put on it oat flakes and burn them slightly: (

once ready take them off the pan and put them in a bowl to let them cool down.
2. Then separate the egg white's and whip them until you can lift the whisk.

3. mix together the rest of the butter (cut it n the small pieces before) with sugar, oat flakes and yolks, (also vanilla, lemon peel and raisins/almonds/hazelnuts/coco - whatever you prefer. yes, even chocolate)
4.  carefully fold in the egg whites together with the rest of the mass
5. take the dessert spoon and make measure the size of the cookies and put them on the baking pan I usually put under the baking paper so it is easier to get it off afterwards
(as it was a Valentine's day than use the heart-shaped cooky form to get the shape.

6. put in on already heated oven (200C') and bake till it is ready, usually takes some 10-12min.
and it is ready! :) (this was my 1st pan (out of 4) so the hearts came in 2nd round and were looking a lot prettier too, hehe. but taste is what matters, right? :)).
Note! :) make sure you don't overcook otherwise it will become really hard, but still good.
Note nr.2:) keep in a box with lid so remain slightly soft :)
Note nr.3 :) perfect with Milk and afternoon tea or at breakfast

try them out and let me know how was it! :) bon appétit ! :)

Coffee break with my ladies

This week I really have a spring feeling: sun is shining, people are somehow more happy and you can see more colors around you. so what can be better to have a coffee break with your friends?! :)

Posing in this pictured was inspired after last weeks Photo-shooting
btw, at my coat is attached this small piece of adornment made of red and white yarn. It was a gift from my Bulgarian friend- Svetty. In Bulgaria it is worn all March to celebrate the upcomign spring and the celebration is called Martenitsa. really nice tradition ^ ^ so I am supporting it! :) and hope one day will visit this country I have heard so much good about! :)

The skiing adventure in Folgaria

yes! I did it! I finally did it! I tried Alpine skiing (in Alps). I've been living in Milan for over 2 years now and i had never been there. So few weekedns ago received a proposal of friends to go skiing to a lovely city  near Trentino - Folgaria. as my friend has rented an appartment there that it was even easier to enjoy all weekend and do not stress about finding an accomodation (which, i must say during winter season is pretty tough).
we went to this nice resort (click here). also the prices were really good a lot cheeper than it would be even closer to Milan.
as it was my first time Alpine skiing than without falling (a LOT) you won't learn anything. But as my friends were laughing that I have a snow chromosome as it woudl be the only explanation why I am so good after few hours already! :) hehe but as I used to skii (cross country and small hills) every winter since I was 3, than I think it was a lot easier to learn.
Here are some pictures from the adventure :)

challange accepted
While beeing up and skiing I used this cool sport traccker application called Endomondo (click here). it's really great app if you are doing sports and want to track your progress and see your stats: average speed, burned calories(!!) performance, time, etc. they even draw map for you and you can challenge others as well as set your own goals. try it out ^ ^

Bombardino
Bombardino is something you jsut can't do without when you are skiing. A drink made of wipped cream, hot VOV (liquer), brandy and caffè. for my taste a little bit too sweet, but it's every skiiers must once you been spending all day on tracks catching, sun, wind and the beautiful view. :)
